Today, here in my Harwinton yard, @ 5:30 as the sun was setting, their was a very large

movement of birds through the tops of the trees. This often happens, as birds seem to follow the
suns travels up hills and Mts as it sets. I live at the top of a 900' hill, and this wave had lots
of birds and moved quickly amongst the tree tops. Most will set down when it gets dark in tree
tops, then put up into the night sky when the urge besets them.

I saw many Yellow-rumps, plus some Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, and a couple of Mags, Starts

and Im sure others passed through to quickly to ID.
Their were also many Vireos, some tanagers and RB Nuts and others. Might be a great night for moon
watching tonight.
