Has anyone ever considered using something to the effect of guide rails/slides
running vertically on the side of the boat?  I was thinking of maybe stainless
pipe/tube that had a 180 degree turn at the top to fit into a socket, like a
pool ladder, and then some other sort of fitting down lower on your hull for
the bottom end.  They would probably have to be spaced 8 or 10 feet apart for
a dinghy the size of what you're looking for.  You could lift the dinghy such
that it pressed against the slides on the way up and had limited motion.
Worst case the dinghy would be hitting the rails instead of your boat.
