My wife and I have used all chain for years with a Bruce 66 and A snuber
of 5/8 line with a chain hook. We put the hook on the bite of the chain
and let out 15' more of chain to hold it. This has worked for us in all
types of anchorages,From San Francisco bay up and down the coast with
5000 miles in Mexico. Lots different kinds of swells and
surge.
