Greetings University Cities Colleagues: The discussion about reopening on the listserv is timely as I wanted to let this group know, that IMLA has made the decision to cancel our in person University Cities summit, which was scheduled to take place in Tulsa from July 29-July 30. Instead, we will be offering a virtual University Cities Summit with 1 presentation each day from 7/27 through 7/31. And we were able to postpone the in person event, so it will take place in Tulsa in July of 2021. In terms of the virtual program this year, we are looking for speakers on the following topics: * University Cities Housing Issues (2-3 speakers) * COVID 19 Issues for University Cities (2-3 speakers). The other issues on the program include, Transportation issues for University Cities, Dealing with Homelessness in Medians, and Game Day 2.0 in the Age of COVID-19. While we have speakers for each of these, we will be putting together a panel for the Game Day 2.0 presentation based somewhat on what we see happening as the virtual summit draws nearer given that this will be in flux. But if you would like to participate in that presentation, please email me and we can discuss. We will be working on getting additional details out to you in terms of registration and a more formal program, but I wanted to be sure this group had the opportunity to volunteer to speak on these topics first.
