Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end  time: 12:30:00
Total observation time: 5.5 hours

Official Counter:        Tom Bolohan

Observers:        Dave Verkley, Ken Wootton

Visitors:
Lots of visitors today so glad the flight was decent and folks actually got
to see some birds! A big thanks to Tom B, Ken W and Dave V for providing
the counts for the day.

Weather:
Lots of sunshine again today with some cloud building in midday. Temps
ranged from 7C to a high of 18C so its finally starting to feel more like
fall. Winds were light from the NE for most of the morning before backing
around to SE and shutting down the flight.

Raptor Observations:
Not a bad flight today given the winds switched to SE by midday... with a
total of 802 raptors tallied. A large part of the flight today was TVs
(501) and then Sharpies (207). Just a single Osprey today and another lone
Peregrine along with small numbers of Redtails (26) and Red-shoulders (8).
A decent number of N. Harriers (21) is great to see.

Non-raptor Observations:
None reported today.
No Monarch count was provided.

Predictions:
Well Sunday looks a bit wild for weather as a strong cold front pushes
across the region. Very strong SW winds (gust to 60kph) are forecast for
most of the day tomorrow along the north shore of Lake Erie. Normally I
would say this SHOULD be a good day for Peregrines to fly along the Cliff.
However, given the possibility of stronger thunderstorms this flight may
not develop.
