Born into a family of gypsy flamenco artists, Saray began singing as a child. At 8 years of age, Saray and her family emigrated to Mexico to join an evangelical church. In Mexico Saray sang in the church choir until the age of 13 when the family returned to Madrid. Her mother, Tina died when Saray was only 19 and within 2 years Saray took her mother's place touring throughout Spain and beyond with her aunt Carmela as " Las Grecas". After 3 years of touring, Saray decided to continue her career as a solo artist, singing in the many flamenco clubs of Madrid. Immmediately her powerful voice attracted the of attention touring flamenco artists and she was offered contracts in Spain and abroad with some of the most influential flamenco artists such as Antonio Canales, Concha Buika, Jorge Pardo, and Rafael Amargo. In 2005 she was contracted by the world famous dancer Joaquin Cortes to sing in his show " Mi Soledad". For the next 5 years she performed throughout the world as a core member of the famed company. Saray continues to captivate audiences as a member of another Flamenco superstar's company, Sara Baras ( _Mission Impossible 2_). Pedro Cortes comes from a family of Spanish Gypsy guitarists and began his studies with his father and the esteemed Flamenco guitarist Sabicas. Having toured professionally since the age of 17, he is gaining international recognition as a soloist and composer. He has premiered his work "En la Oscuridad de las Minas" at the Teatro Albeniz in Madrid, and in 1992 he had works premiered by the Carlota Santana Spanish Dance Company at the Joyce Theater in New York. He has two books on Flamenco, _El Dron del Faraon _and _Cruzando el Charco_, published by the American Institute of Guitar. Mr. Cortes was commissioned by Zorongo Flamenco to write a score for a dance drama called "Garden of Names" which was inspired by the Lawrence Thornton novel called "Imagining Argentina". He also wrote music for a childrens program on H B O called _Fairy tale for Every Child_. He has toured with Jose Greco and Maria Benitez, and has performed with such artists as Farrucita, La Tati, Merche Esmeralda, Manolete and the late Lola Flores. He has been a guest artist with the St. Louis Opera and the New York Grand Opera, and has been commissioned as Musical Director by the Guthrie Theater In Garcia Lorca's BODAS DE SANGRE. Mr. Cortes is artistic director of his own Flamenco Fusion group Amanecer Flamenco De Hoy, and also Musical Director of Mimbre Y Vareta and Zorongo Flamenco. Mr. Cortes is a third generation Flamenco guitarist and uses the experience passed down to him by his family to maintain the purity of Flamenco while creating new compositions. .
