Hi everyone! Kate's email was my first message within the Adult Services Interest Group, so please forgive me if I'm missing any details. Thank you Jazz and Kate for starting the conversation!
My name is Tricia Chaffey, and I'm a Youth Services librarian with Carson Library, part of LA County Library system. While my current focus is on children's programming, I still have an interest in adult services (started as an adult/teen librarian) and I love seeing what everyone is doing.
Our library's theme this summer relates to soccer, to tie in with the World Cup, since LA is one of the host cities. We're looking into doing programs around soccer trivia and possibly holding viewings (something the Adult Services department is looking into for all the branches so we'll see!).

We have a lot of soccer fans around here, so I'm excited to see how trivia goes. We'll be asking our FOL if they're open to buying some prizes for this too to make it extra fun.

I think the trivia will probably be our most time consuming program, since it'll likely be more homegrown.
Jazz, I'd be very interested in learning more about the sensory bins you're planning. We have adult groups visit our library on a regular basis, and it'd be great to expand the programming we do with them in mind. Also, I totally hear you on the licensing!
Kate, the teen astronomy club sounds so cool! How are you planning to format it? I also think the Princess Bride is an excellent choice!
