x310 and encrypted bitstream

Hi!

I'm new to this list, and I'm new to Xilinx devices too.

As far as I can understand a kintex7 device could be configured using an
encrypted bitstream.

I would like to use this feature with the x310 SDR.

Reading the Xilinx documentation about the encrypted bitstream
capability I understand the this feature is available only if the FPGA
configuration scheme (determined by the configuration pins) provide a x8
configuration bus.

Now reading the schematic provided with the SDR I con understand the the
configuration scheme selected is Slave SelectMAP and, reading the
configuration files generated by the make infrastructure, the
configuration bus width is x32. Is that correct?

The question is: there is a way to generate a x8 bitstream and try to
configure, in the firs instance without encryption, the device?

I hope I made myself clear.

Thank you

Is it correct that you care more about the encryption than anything
specific to the implementation? In that case, RFNoC might be what you
want. Can you specify exactly what you need?

Cheers,
M

Paolo,

to provide some more details, we can't load encrypted bitstreams, but we
can pull in encrypted netlists into the design.
