Mr. Ken Williams,
You have to be pulling my chain here dude. You are touring the Alaska coast in a 68 ft Nordhaven
and are struck at the cultural and economic poverty of the " Indians ".

When making observations about the world, there is fact and then there is opinion.
In publications that care about their reputations, facts are checked and double checked.
Opinion is very carefully moved over to the editorial pages.
When someone tells me to " Buy American and save the future " I feel a line has been crossed.
Am I being too sensitive?

Lorenzo:

I'm not convinced that boat size has anything to do with a blogger's ability
to comment on the islands they visit.

On the topic of larger boats visiting remote places, I was just reading
today's blog entry from Starr. Starr is a 70' Northern Marine now underway
to meet up with our GSSR group of three boats, currently in Japan.

To read Don's blog entry, visit: http://tinyurl.com/ykuwlet

In it Don Stabbert, Starr's owner, describes his attempts to help the
residents of a small island in the Marshall Islands get their water system
running. Very interesting reading.

The GSSR group has been sitting still the past few months, but gets underway
again in just a few weeks. We'll be visiting South Korea, the Rykyu Islands,
Taiwan and Hong Kong. It should be fun, educational, and a chance to see a
part of the world few cruisers visit.

Ken, that's a very frustrating story about the water makers. I really
felt for Don. Thanks for pointing the blog out.
