BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...
... to all Gators who will be taking on an endurance challenge in racing or
training this weekend!
It's a light event schedule with just one Gator that we know of
participating in an official event. This is the calm before the storm as
we have 2 club events... Tri for the Y and Schuylkill River Relay... with
close to 30 Gators participating that are taking place the next two
weekends and 5 of our club event sponsors are offering a total of 6 events
between April 21 and April 30!
If you do not yet have an April event on your calendar, there are plenty of
opportunities for you to add one and make an appearance on an upcoming
"Best Wishes" post! If you need the details about when and where, see the
latest version of our "Who's In?" calendar that was posted earlier this
week... https://www.facebook.com/groups/msgators/posts/2219929614858465/
Our Gators Zwift Time Trial team also had their latest race last night,
which included the almost 19 mile Figure 8 route in Watopia; the team that
included Don Schlichtmann, Chris Reiter, Chris Acosta, Deb Rocco, and Don
Mack did well completing the course in under 50 minutes at an average speed
of over 22mph... Great job!
As always, if your name is missing from our best wishes list, PLEEEASE post
a comment so that we can send Good Gator Vibes your way and add you to the
"Who's In?" calendar as we work towards 700 events for 2023!
Seeking Tri for the Y Volunteers and Athletes: We are almost at 40 athletes
in this event... Who can help push us up and over that total? We also have
a significant need for more volunteers as there are currently less than 10
of us registered to assist... Who can help us out with a volunteer shift?
As little as an hour of your morning on Sunday 4/16 will help GREATLY.
Besides doing a good deed it's also a fun time and a great way to meet
other Gators. There is now also an unpublished RELAY OPTION! I'll be
participating on a relay team with Keith Ho and Katie Ho... Who wants to
join us in the relay division??? To register as a volunteer see Logan
Washburn's post... https://www.facebook.com/.../permalink/2212556958929064.
And to register as an athlete, go to this link...

Weekend Events: Here's who's repping the Gators this weekend...
Saturday, April 8:
• Eagleton Trail Challenge (Lock Haven, PA): Hot off of his "wreturn to
wrestling" weekend our ageless wonder, Jon Crosby, participates in this 50K
trail run through the Pennsylvania Wilds with a finish line feast that will
include grilled turkey Breast with leek cream sauce, 50/50 sweet and
redskin mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots, and salad waiting for him
at the finish line... mmm! Go Jon!
Have fun, Gator Done, then drink a beer! 💚BK🍺
