Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsKen,
Try the Mainship 34 if you are a couple & need permanent berths for only
2 people.
It's fast for an old trawler, (8-10 kts), economical (2 gph), and easy
to buy (50-65k).
The best Mainships come through the mainship website rather than
brokers. Northern fresh water boats may be better than Florida boats
because they are used less of the time due to winter storage layup time.
When you find one, however, act quickly -- they tend to sell fast. I
admit that I am biased in favor of them!
