THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (January 23-29) and WINTER GFC WEEK 3 ROLL CALL!
"1/23 Let's Go!" Today starts week 4 of "1/23 Let's Go!" and the week
includes a full slate of workouts including our first youth focused
workout, so there are many opportunities for you to "Go". If you've been
observing from the sidelines, jump in this week. And if you're off to a
fast start, keep it going!
As far as our Gator Fitness Challenge goes, we had a great start in week 1
with 40 completed challenges, but we had a 20% drop in week 2 with 32
completed challenges. Were we able to bounce back in week 3 last week?
We'll find out in our weekly roll call.
This week we're again offering our full workout program including 14
opportunities to help you get fit; this includes 5 swims, 4 cycling
opportunities (including a bonus opportunity with the Gators Zwift Team
Time Trial race on Thursday night; for more details about that, contact
David Stone), and, including our Tuesday run workout and the new RUNegades
group runs and an all new Keystone Running Store group run (tonight!), 5
running opportunities!
A couple of brief reminders before we go over this week's events...
Get a BK Pint Glass! If you have not yet had a chance to pick up your
special edition "Have fun, Gator Done, then drink a beer!... Coach Brian"
pint glass, there are some opportunities this week (just let me know ahead
of time so that I know to bring one for you). We'll continue to distribute
them to all current members, including new members, (1/person) until they
are gone. Here is where you can get one...
• Monday/TONIGHT, 7pm-8:15pm before or after the swim workout
• Tuesday, 6pm-8:15pm at the run or spin workouts
2023 Membership Renewal: The renewal period (early December through
January) ends early next week. Thanks to all of you that have already
renewed your memberships! An email reminder will be sent to all others. If
you do not plan to renew this year, please send me a message and we will
remove you from our follow-up list. Otherwise, all 2022 memberships will
stay in tact through January 31; on February 1 we'll update our databases,
including Facebook group, email list, Training Peaks accounts, and USAT
club roster to match our current membership at that time.
Workouts Attendance Poll: To assist with workout planning, please check all
workouts that you plan to attend.
GFC Roll Call!: Last week was week 3 of the winter Gator Fitness Challenge,

Zwift runs between January 9-February 12 with a new stage beginning every
3-4 days; Wednesday is part of Stage 5. There are new events starting
every hour and our selected "Event" will begin at 7pm and you need to
register in advance. This stage includes New York City routes. There are
long, standard, and short routes. Our suggested "group event" is the
"standard" or "B" route, which is "Knickerbocker Reverse", which is about
14 miles in length with about 1,200 feet of climbing and will take around
45-60 minutes to complete. If you indicate "Going" on our poll below, I'll
add you to a FB Messenger group so that we can communicate during the
event. For more details about Tour de Zwift, here's a link to the FAQs...
