10/30/13 - Sterling yard feeders -- 1st winter male DICKCISSEL
continues at feeders for the fifth consecutive day. Most reliable in
the morning and evening spending more time alone and less time with
House Sparrows and occasionally vocal.

10/30/13 - Durham, Greenbackers pond -- 1 Cackling Goose, 3 lesser
Canada Geese.
Meriden, Bishops Pond -- 5 Northern Shoveler.
Wallingford, North Farms Reservoir -- Many Northern Pintail, drake
REDHEAD, 3 Northern Shovelers.

10/30/13 - Westport, Sherwood Island SP -- 5 Eastern Meadowlarks
flushed from the marsh behind the airplane field. They flew off to the
east.

10/30/13 - Harwinton yard -- 1 Pine Siskin, 2 Fox Sparrow.

10/30/13 - Litchfield, Bantam Lake, North Bay -- female BLACK SCOTER
(present several days).
Bantam Lake, South Bay -- 2 female Lesser Scaup.
Cemetery Pond -- 1 NORTHERN SHOVELER.
Litchfield in general -- 2 Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers, 2 Red-breasted
Nuthatches, 2 flyover SNOW BUNTINGS, 5 FOX SPARROWS.

10/30/13 - Waterford, Harkness Memorial State Park -- 1 WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROW.

10/30/13 - Stratford, various sites including Greenway, Short Beach,
and Stratford Point -- point-blank looks at an immature Peregrine
Falcon (while Common Loons were giving their eerie Halloween calls).
