This may be an "off the bulkhead" suggestion, but I was wondering the same thing for my trawler project when the time comes. How about going to one of those picture frame stores that are in most shopping centers and have them make up plain picture frames to the size you need, your choice of material and color. The recess at the rear of the frame would hold the screen with the appropriate goop. Just a thought.
