RE: TWL: Fuel tank sight gauges

One additional detail about the sight gauges:  you need valves at the top
and
the bottom of the tube.  Using the plastic tubing works fine.  Our 1973 36'
Grand Banks had the plastic tubing...which while it discolored, was still
readable.  The surveyor made us add valves on the top (they were already on
the bottom of the tubes).

The Fleming also has sight gauges, but I'm not certain what the material
is: it doesn't discolor (could be glass). They're guarded on both sides with
metal rod (which tends to break and has to be replaced). They also have
valves top and bottom. The same type of sight gauges are used on the fuel
and
water tanks.
