Hi, everyone,
Michele, Heather, and I just got off a call with Beth Jacob, who is the consultant for Bluestocking Strategy communications helping us with a one-pager in time for AEFL Week. It was a thoughtful and invigorating call, and Beth has a request for all of us on the board. Since time is of the essence and she plans to get us a draft one-pager by early next week, could you please forward any responses by Friday morning?

  1. Websites of key adult education organizations Beth should review in the next day or two, that offer important ideas or research about adult education and family literacy (Note: she already has links to all of our member and associate organizations)

  2. Websites which offer adult learner stories, either in print, video, or other formats (Note: she already has links to the AEFL Week resources posted on the NCL site)

Thanks in advance for helping us not to miss any websites and stories,
Margaret

Hi, Margaret,

There's a great video out of Minnesota Adult Ed that Patsy Vinogradov just posted on LINCS. Its title is something like "Why Adult Education Is Important." If Beth doesn't know about it already, I'm sure it would be helpful.

I'm away from my desk on travel today and tomorrow, so can't provide a direct link to the video, but if you contact Patsy, I'm sure she'll be happy to provide.
