Nationally-acclaimed Artist visits Tacoma for National Poetry Month Event

Celebrate National Poetry Month on April 18th with a nationally-acclaimed
poet and local special guests.
Anis Mojgani is one of only two people to win multiple National Poetry Slam
Championships. He has been an HBO Def poet, a feature on NPR, a TEDx
speaker, and an International Slam Poetry champion.  To make the event a
true celebration of National Poetry Month, he'll be joined by Puget Sound
Area special guests (poets to be announced soon on our facebook event page:

Kye Alfred Hillig, a Tacoma musician with nearly two decades of songwriting
under his belt. Hillig debuted his first solo album, "Aurora", in April
2012. In February, he showed versatility and depth with his sophomore
release "Together Through It All." He has been declared a "favorite local
artist" by online magazine Post Defiance. Hillig will be joined by Emily
Ann Peterson, vocalist and cellist for Goldfinch.

Doors open at 6:30pm, event starts at 7pm.

This is an all-ages event and non-alcoholic beverages are included in your
