Q: *The website won't let me put in my first pick! can you help??* A: Deep breath. The bracket was released yesterday so now you can go on ahead and make that first pick! Q: *So, I should send $10 each day of the tournament, right? * A: No. You pay once in the beginning and hope you survive to see each day. Buy as many entries as you like. Go wild! Q: *When I send a venmo should I make the note extremely generic and unhelpful?* A: Please don't. If you include your username in the note I will know which entries you're paying for and won't boot you for being delinquent! Q: *Can I send you money via PayPal? * A: Sorry but this is a no as they'll likely reject the payment. You're welcome to use their sister app, Venmo (same parent company!) or CASH app (another easy, user-friendly option). This isn't your standard tournament bracket...this is survivor. * *Unfortunately, I need to remind everyone that I run this pool solely for fun (I do not take a cut and I do not make any money). Please don't join if you aren't willing to understand and abide by ALL the rules. * *RULES:* - *Each DAY you pick one team to win straight up (no point spread) but you can ONLY pick that team ONCE DURING THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT * - *If you're unfamiliar with the "madness" portion of this sporting event, there are games almost EVERY DAY (March 16, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, April 1 & 3) which you'll need to make picks for. Please do not ask for money back when you forget to pick on day 2. * - *ELITE 8 EXCEPTION- In this round there are 2 games on Saturday & 2 games on Sunday. You'll be able to pick any 2 teams from either day. You may pick 1 Elite 8 team from each day, 2 teams from Saturday, or 2 teams from Sunday.* - *Single elimination—if you pick a losing team, you’re out. * - * IMPORTANT: Unlike football, you CAN run out of teams, so pick wisely. For example, if you get to the final four but you've already chosen the 4 teams playing, you're out. Brutal, I know, but this is March Madness. * - *Deadline for picks is 5PM PST EVERY DAY. This means if you miss early games, you can pick a later game as long as it hasn’t STARTED. But, if you miss the 5pm deadline, you’re out. * - *The entry (or entries) who survive the longest takes the entire pot! * - *TIEBREAKERS [including for those who are curious, but feel free to skip over until this is relevant]* - * If 2 or more people are surviving in the pool and they all get eliminated the same day, it will be considered a tie.* - *If someone advances to the next day but doesn't have any teams left to pick, they would lose to someone who advances to the next day and does have a team to pick, even if that pick turns out to be a losing pick* - *If two or more pool members survive through the end of the tournament, you are required to predict the eventual Tournament Champion. The person who correctly picks the Tournament Champion will win this tiebreaker. * - * If more than 1 person correctly pick the Tournament Champion, the final tiebreaker will be the Championship Game Total Points Prediction. The person closest to the actual total points scored by both teams wins this tiebreaker. * - *If there is still a tie after these tiebreakers, the remaining survivors will split the pot* *HOW TO JOIN:* - *$10 per entry; purchase as many entries as you'd like * - * note: survivor basketball can be hard so you may want to get multiple picks.
