Important News about This Year's RAGS: The 18th annual RAGS Wearable Art Gala, Sale and Gallery will be in a new location this year! We're moving with Larson's Mercedes-Benz across I-5 to their new showroom at 1701 Alexander Ave. East in Fife. The new venue is bigger, brighter and flashier than our old location, plus it sports a cafe that serves coffee drinks and sandwiches. The event runs from March 9 to 11 and is a major fundraiser for the YWCA Pierce County's domestic violence prevention and intervention programs. The Gala Preview on Thursday, March 9, is a ticketed event that features live music, hors d'oeuvres and wine, plus a sneak preview and chance to shop the art before anyone else does! You can get your tickets at RAGSWearableArt.org or by calling (253) 272-4181 ext. 352. On March 9-11 - Friday through Sunday - admission is free and shopping is wide open. The juried galery show and sale feature artists from near and far (mostly near) who support the YWCA by donating a portion of their weekend sales. Handmade and one-of-a-kind jewelry, accessories and clothing are for sale and the selection is different each year. There are certainly a lot of RAGS favorites, but this year with our larger space, we were able to add more artists than we could accommodate in Larson's previous showroom.
