This week was to begin our outdoor riding season, but as is sometimes the
case in April, the weather is not cooperating. So we have decided to stay
indoor for one additional week and transition to outdoor evening rides next
week. This means there will be one more opportunity to attend a Tuesday
night spin workout and one more opportunity to participate in a Thursday
night Gators Zwift Team Time Trial race!
ALSO, we are planning to try a Saturday morning coached outdoor ride this
week... It'll be a leisurely paced "get reacclimated with riding outside"
out and back SRT ride starting and ending at our usual spot, the Reynolds
Dog Park.
Watch for the April-June weekly workout to be posted sometime this week.
APRIL's FULL Challenge: In case you missed the post, based on the success
of our March Madness Challenge, we are starting a new challenge, the
"April's Full Challenge" that will run from Monday, April 1 through
Tuesday, April 30. This challenge includes 10/10/10 and 15/15 options:

  • 10/10/10 Challenge: Complete at least 10 swimming AND 10 cycling AND
    10 running workouts during April.
  • 15/15 Challenge: Complete at least 15 cycling and 15 running workouts
    during April.

Workouts must be be at least 15 minutes in duration and can be in any order
and on any dates. A Facebook Messenger group has been established for the
group to communicate and report results, which will be tracked by Don Mack

This serves as your weekly list of our club workouts and, for the 26 weeks
of fall and winter, your opportunity to post any completed Gator Fitness
Challenge weekly challenges including the SBR Challenge (i.e. complete at
least 45 minutes of swimming AND cycling/spinning AND running) and the SCF
Challenge (at least 45 minutes total of combined strength, core, and/or
flexibility workouts).
If you completed the SBR Challenge, the SCF Challenge, or both last week
(March 25-31), please post a comment indicating which challenges you
completed. Your results will be added to our tracking sheet.
