Hi guys,

I called the course at 7:10 and was told that it had rained all night and morning.  The course was open though, but, carts on path only.  With about 12  guys telling me they weren't going I asked the course to cancel and tell anyone who called that we were not playing.

Paul will issue a refund for your entry.

In the meantime, our next event at Goose Creek, April 15, is now available for entry at www.road-dawgs.orghttp://www.road-dawgs.org.

Our first complete rainout in 9 years of dawgs,

Rick

Rick:

Thanks for the info of the fiasco yesterday. I also called The course and spoke to Bobby @ 7:00A and was told the same thing except for the cancellation part. Bobby asked me to call back in 15 minutes in case you guys decided to cancel the event.  I called them back at 7:22A and spoke to Billy who told me that no one has called  in to cancel the event which prompt me to get in the car and drive 74 miles to Soboba Springs. I also emailed Paul & Murali after I spoke to Bobby @ 7A of my conversation with Billy at 7:22A.  Murali emailed me back that he's not playing but didn't say anything about the cancellation.

It appears that Billy of Soboba Springs either misunderstood you or misinformed me that the tournament is on schedule. There were 7 of us showed up yesterday. All the folks who showed up could save time and cost of gas if we were correctly informed of your decision in the timely manner.

Yes the course is a little wet after the rain on Sat but their greens are dried and in playing conditions.  The temperature was on the cold side but we could easily delay the starting time for a few hours and play after the front passed through the area.

If it's any comfort, the SCGA cancelled the Low Net Qualifier at Griffith
Park on Saturday, as well.

I'll be in China on tax-day, so have to miss Goose Creek..
