Looking for suggestions for a hand crimping tool (scissor like action) for lug terminals, say up to 4/0, maybe 6/0. Thanks.

I bought an FTZ, on recommendation of Maine Sail, also known as CMS on
Trawler Forum.  $185, works great.

Here's his excellent article on making battery cables, showing the
crimper, and the extra-good "power lugs" he recommends.  Used them too -
great.

Amp rotocrimp.  8 guage thru 4/0.  Has rotable dies in the jaws to fit the various size terminals

The place I worked before retirement used these for assembly of communication shelters.  I borrowed them for initial wiring of my boat.  When I retired, I knew I needed one

Very expensive new, I found one used on ebay for about $125

Rudy I bought a cheap 10 ton hydraulic  crimper from HF (no longer listed)
that included dies that were in mm. I modified one die set to fit 4/0 cable
and used it several times. I've seen several similar 16 ton hydraulic
crimpers on e-bay for $30 prehaps worth the  risk/buy.  I also used the
smaller dies to swage wire rope and that  ok as well.
