Pierce College Puyallup Gallery is pleased to announce the Winter Quarter exhibition, What Could Be by artist JW Harrington
The exhibit which opens on January 6th and runs to March 6th features a series of oil on canvas and cold wax on canvas paintings.
“Improbable situations and improbable beings – what could be happening?  What do the human figures see?  What could they be thinking, or hoping?  What would you like to see happen?”
These are some of the questions that the paintings in this collection ask of you.  Despite their differences in subject, rendering, size, and materials, they provide visual cues that you’ll interpret based on your own experiences and hopes.  Cues rather than answers, because I generally paint abstracted figures and/or background – posing questions for which you supply answers unique to you.
Meet the artist and enjoy refreshments at the opening reception, on January 16th from 3:00 – 5:00 at the Pierce College Gallery located in the Arts and Allied Health (AAH) building on the Puyallup campus.
The gallery is open Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm
