From Frank & Linda Mantlik:
06/25/11 - Stratford, Rt 113, Sikorsky Airport -- 7:40 pm, 24
BOAT-TAILED GRACKLES (males, females, and probably young-of-year)
foraging on grassy rotary just inside airport entrance.  They've been
pretty scarce lately, post-nesting.  This is by far the most I've seen
since early spring.
I haven't seen any Eurasian Collared-Doves since seeing one fly by on
6/17, despite brief morning and late-afternoon checks most days since
then.  I suspect they may be gone (or perhaps very secretive at a nest
site somewhere in the area).  On 6/20 I did examine the pines for a
nest, and found no completed, active nest.  Though I did find the
beginnings of a pine-needle nest in the right pine with a few whitish
feathers in it.  No sign of the birds nor eggs.  I'll continue to
search for them in the area.

From Mark Scott:
06/25/11 - New Haven -- Common Nighthawks over Wall Street (Yale
campus).

From Zellene Sandler:
06/26/11 - West Simsbury, Hedgehog Mt -- a pair of Yellow-bellied
Sapsuckers at the falls,  heard a Winter Wren singing from the blue
trail.

From Luke Tiller:
06/25/11 - Greenwich -- had what I am assuming is a migrating/flyover
YB Cuckoo calling in Greenwich at midnight.
