This weekend offers the opportunity to fire up your IRONMAN trackers on both Saturday and Sunday! Additionally, the Steelman Racing OWS series finale "Endless Summer Swim" is happening and includes 7 Gators! In all there are 20 Gators in action across 4 states and Italy! Weekend Workouts: We have our usual Sunday swim... • Sunday 9/18, 11:15am-12:15pm, Spring Valley YMCA indoor lap pool: Uncoached group swim workout Do you want to lead a group bike ride or run? Many of us are training for events of all distances. We highly encourage you to share on our Facebook group any rides or runs (of any length) that you are doing where you'd like some company! Weekend Events: Here's where you can find us anticipating starting lines and crossing finish lines... Saturday, September 17: • IRONMAN Italy Emilia-Romagna (Cervia, Italy): IM Tracker event #1! Jon Wesler will start with a single loop dip in the Adriatic Sea, continue with a ride through the countryside of Romagna, and end with a run through Cervia! Go Jon! Gator Done, have fun, then drink a Peroni! • Hero Dash 15K (Cresco, PA): Whitney Chadwick Lessar competes in the first of two weekend events with this being a run in the Poconos! Go Whitney! Sunday, September 18: • SPONSOR EVENT: Steelman Racing's "Endless Summer Swim" (Lake Nockamixon, Quakertown, PA): In the finale of the Steelman Racing 2022 OWS series there will be 7 Gators competing including Keith Ho, Sheri Kuss, and Julie Mullaney in the 2 mile and Kristie Bruno, youth Gator Emerson Chadwick, Whitney Chadwick Lessar, and Gleb Epelbaum in the 1 mile. Go Gators! • IRONMAN 70.3 Timberman (Laconia, New Hampshire): IM Tracker event #2! We'll have 4 Gators taking on this challenging course (and one there in spirit... 💚 Beth Wysoczanski) including Angela Epelbaum and Logan Washburn, and, making their Half IRONMAN debuts, Sara Dansbury and Cindy Kelecic! The course starts with a cool swim in Lake Opechee, followed by a rolling out and back bike course, and ending with a rolling 2 loop scenic run along the lake and amongst the mountains before finishing in downtown Laconia! Go Sara, Angela, Cindy, and Logan! • Marshman Triathlon (Downingtown, PA): There will also be 4 Gators competing in this close-by sprint event at Marsh Creek State Park, home of the recently completed Mid-Atlantic Multisport OWS series, including Ginny Angus, Holly Beauchamp, Gregg Heimer, and Shawn O'Malley who will be completing a 750m swim, 12 mile bike course, and 5K run. Go Ginny, Holly, Gregg, and Shawn! • Bronx 10 Miler (The Bronk, NY): Our favorite I💚NY Runners return to the city! Joe DeNicola and Susan Flavin will both be bouncing through the Bronx. Go Susan and Joe! • Philadelphia Distance Run (Philadelphia, PA): Our club running coach, Karen Dunn, competes in this classic half marathon event with the always amazing finish in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum.
