All hands-- Trawlers & Trawlering List is informative, it's entertaining and it's free--but it does cost money to operate the thing, about two grand a year when the sister lists are included. Since 1997, I have happily covered the costs myself, because I have the same passion you do for messing about in boats. If the truth were known, 12 years into it, I still can't wait to get into the digest every morning to see what's being discussed. But I no longer own and operate Trawler Fest, so there is not even faint business motivation for me to continue to underwrite the costs.
