Dear HBCU Library Alliance Members,
Happy New Year! As we eagerly anticipate the arrival of Black History Month 2024, we celebrate this year's theme: "African Americans and the Arts." This theme provides a meaningful platform to celebrate and honor the rich contributions that African, Caribbean, and Black Americans have made to the visual arts, music, cultural movements, and more throughout history.
To foster engagement among library deans and directors, we cordially invite you to contribute to the second iteration of "In My Library." This initiative aims to showcase the diverse tapestry of creativity and talent within our HBCU library community. Share your institution's Black History Month events, exhibits, and initiatives, whether they involve virtual lectures, exhibitions, workshops, performances, or other creative endeavors. To share information about your events, please fill out the form below with the relevant details by Friday, January 26th.
