Hi MM, Yeah I guess I do leave myself open when I make the statement that I have a
montauk.  But I didn't start this string, I least I don't think I did.  Thing is I didn't even hear about the loop until a short time ago.  I just got the whaler, I can't give her up so quickly.  Besides, I have ordered a full canvas from Mills, but with no side or back curtains, might want to re-think that one again.  I completely agree that doesn't come close to having a cabin, but sure in h**l beats not having anything.
How does your c-dory run, I like them.
My take would be if I realy wanted a cabin type boat/hull I'd really like the nordic 26', sweet
looking boat.  Wish they still made those.  Tug44 said that he would help me out when I'm
looping, he would wash hes dishes, I'll stop by and jump in the water with my clothes on so
I don't have to spend money that week to clean my clothes :).
Take it easy MM, talk to ya soon,
Matt ...

Matt,

Since I haven't seen anyone mention it - you need to think about more than
keeping the weather out.

The black flies and mosquitoes will carry you away without protection at
times up here!

Any thoughts to your cruising range - do you have the
fuel capacity for open water travel?
