Omni-Directional TV Antenna

I am looking to replace the Omni-Directional TV antenna on our motor vessel.  I have researched some brands: 1byOne, ANTOP, Shakespeare, GLOMAX, Majestic UFO, Digital Yacht.  May be more and am certainly open to investigating others.  Boat is currently in Brunswick Landing Marina.  Able to get 4-5 channels (2  shopping channels, 2 from ION, and 1 cartoon channel).  Current Shakespeare model 2025 is non-amplified and resides in the flybridge “eye brow”.  Not sure that is the best location.  Had a Majestic UFO amplified version on my last boat.

Any recommendations out there?
Thanks.

Steve

Steve:

I have a Shakespeare omni-directional and if I am anchored out on the
Wye or in St Michaels I can get most of the Baltimore and Washington DC
channels. Not sure that there is a big difference between the available
choices. Mounting it as high as possible is helpful.

You might want to get a set of the old rabbit ears and see how you do
with those. If they do about the same you may not be able to improve the
reception. If it is a lot better then it makes sense to replace the
existing antenna and wiring. The new digital channels are easier to
receive as opposed to the old analog system.
