You fave  to remember first  Honda us a Engine Company. Get a good engine you get a  good product .  I have  had two Honda motorcycles my favorite was the GOLDWING. Honda  cars, weed eaters, lawn mowers, Generators. Honda built the first 4 stroke outboard
They invented it. Yamaha good product but Honda bigger product offering

I have a 2 Hp four stroke and love it some  boat dealers “Package” their boats with Yamaha but also have the Honda Franchise they don’t want to lose selling a boat over an engine decision

Over here, on this side of the pond, if one is contemplating coming, from
my experience, every 2 and 4 stroke Yamaha can be fixed by nearly any yahoo
boat engine mechanic in nearly any out of the way harbor, port, or island.
Personal experience. Parts seem to be EVERYWHERE! If you carry a can of
"Gum-Out" or equivalent, and use it the first time the Yamaha 4 strokes
hiccups, the engine will work thru the problem with nary a whimper.

Honda engines: Quite reliable, a little more fussy with quality of fuel,
parts in major locales only. "Gum-Out" may or may not be your friend with
this engine.
