Subject: Installation issues

Hi,
I am hoping you can solve the problem I am having with my attempt to install CollectionSpace

I have a clean install of Ubuntu 16.04.4  This installation is complete and without errors.

I followed the Automatic installation and all appears to work correctly, there are no errors during the CollectionSpace installation.

Unfortunately when I try to run Cspace there is no bin folder or startup.sh file under the Cscpace folder structure. Any idea what could be happening here? I have rerun the installer three times. Each time it completes without error but still there is no startup.sh file to be found.

Thanks for any help you can contribute.

Cheers
Will

Hi Will

The docs are a bit misleading.

The startup.sh script is not in /home/cspace/bin  but in the directory
referred to by the bash shell variable
$CSPACE_JEESERVER_HOME which will be something like
/usr//local/share/apache-tomcat-7.n.nn/bin

So, change to the cspace user:

su cspace

and enter the password in initial_password.txt in  /home/cspace

The startup script is run as:

$CSPACE_JEESERVER_HOME/bin/startup.sh

and to shutdown

$CSPACE_JEESERVER_HOME/bin/shutdown.sh

Point your browser at something like:

http:// http://namelocalhost:8180/cspace/core/login
