It worked flawlessly for the 2 years I kept the boat. Everyone within a couple hundred feet knew when the tank was close to topped off. You won't have any trouble hearing it I can assure you of that. That said, my last two diesel boats had the vents just below the fill and it is also very easy to listen to the tone and know when it's full. Hope this helps. When the whistle stops it is time to stop filling fuel. I'll be using it, if purchased, for diesel fuel fill lines. Has anyone installed one of these and if so, I would appreciate any comments (good or bad) as to its effectiveness. Also if any problems were encountered.
