Broad brook mill pond/Snipsic Lake

10/30 Tolland: Visited "the Snip" ( as Snipsic Lake is known locally) this morning and found it empty of any birds.

           East Windsor, Broad Brook Mill Pond:  Late this afternoon, there were a few hundred Canadas, couldn't pick out anything

unusual.  The water level was about 3-4 feet lower than normal.  I'm thinking it was lowered to avoid any problems with

expected heavy rains.
