How can we have a legitimate net competition if the higher handicap players are allowed to “pick up” after double bogey?
This puts an unfair to our lower digit players.
Last Saturday was won with a net 66 by a 17 handicap? That was probably not his actual score.
For posting purposes we all agree that net double bogey is the highest “post able ”, but in competition your score is your score.

Dave:

You are insulting me.  The Dave G I know is not a whiner or complainer who assumed I picked up lots of balls after net double bogey.  You are welcome to audit my score if you still have an issue.  But to send this ridiculous email to everyone on the road dawgs list is just not right.  And my net score is 68.  I played several blue tee events and never once I made a complaint because I didn’t win or someone scored below 72.

Forgot to mention that I didn’t pick up any ball after a net double bogeys. Dave,  I wish you know me well enough that I’m playing golf for fun and would never ranked my index or cheated, as you suggested,  to win a meager wager from any competition.

Grow up,  by the way.

This puts an unfair to our lower digit players.
Last Saturday was won with a net 66 by a 17 handicap? That was probably not his actual score.
For posting purposes we all agree that net double bogey is the highest “post able ”, but in competition your score is your score.

It had nothing to do with you. I did not know or care who won. It is not a statement of “cheating “ but of effective leveling of the playing field.
That’s all.

Now, can we focus on the question I posed?

After all this, there is only one thing left to do.

Have Murali put Victor (5th in Group 1) in the Group 5 foursome with Dave G and let them have at it.

I might pay to see that.

But knowing you both, you will have it all worked out by then.

Victor, you are a beautiful man.  And David you are too.

I’m proud to be at a club that has men with your high caliber.
