Bobwhites in Mansfield

7/30 - I am forwarding an email I just received:

I wanted to alert someone to the unexpected presence of two at least, perhaps 3, birds calling on Bone Meal Rd. There are brush and open field, bordered by forest and further on corn field. I know these birds are “rare” - or they are released after being raised for hunting. Their unmistakeable “Bob White” calls lasted for 10 -15 minutes.
I wanted to report it. Please contact me if you want more information.
