From Tony Hager:
10/24/13 - Chester, over the downtown -- 5 BLACK VULTURES (probably
more) embedded in a group of 150 Turkey Vultures (probably more). BVs
are pretty usual in these parts.
10/25/13 — Chester, my yard -- 1 YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER (2 more a
few days ago).
Haddam, near exit 9 on Rt 9 -- 1 MISSISSIPPI KITE. (About a week  ago
in Chester I saw another MK harassing a BV at altitude.)

From John Weeks:
10/25/13 — Granby, yard -- 6:20 AM; heard an unknown number of
Sandhill Cranes calling as they passed over my house in the dark. They
were headed south.

From Greg Hanisek:
10/25/13 — Litchfield, Bantam Lake, North Bay -- female BLACK SCOTER.
Cemetery Pond -- 2 NORTHERN SHOVELERS, 2 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS.

From Tina Green:
10/25/13 - Westport, CT Audubon Tree Farm -- Clay-colored Sparrow, 1
Vesper Sparrow.
Sherwood Island State Park -- in part with AJ & Sue Hand; 3 Northern
Pintail (flyover), 1 Vesper Sparrow, 1 White-crowned Sparrow, 5 Rusty
Blackbird (flyover).

From John Oshlick:
10/25/13 - Milford, Silver Sands State Park -- 3 Vesper Sparrows in
sparrow lanes. I also had 5 White-crowned Sparrows.

From Dana Campbell:
10/25/13 - New Haven, Lighthouse Point Park -- FOS Rough-legged Hawk,
light morph IDed this morning by Paul Roberts.

From Carolyn Cimino with Denise Jernigan:
10/25/13 - Meriden, Research Parkway, Bishop's Pond -- 1 EURASIAN
WIGEON, 4 Northern Shoveler.
Wallingford, McKenzie Reservoir -- 1 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE.

From Frank Mantlik, with Charlie Barnard & Tom Murray:
10/25/13 - Stratford, Boothe Memorial Park Hawkwatch -- 10:25 to 1:45;
3 Black Vulture, 1 smaller possible CACKLING GOOSE.

From Russ Smiley:
10/25/13 - Durham -- 8:30 AM; the Cackling Goose was in the
Greenbacker Farm Pond with hundreds of Canada geese. Its small size,
steel gray color on wings and back, short bill, and knobby forehead
were very apparent.
Madison -- 5:30 PM; I saw two perhaps three Vesper Sparrows in a
pre-sunset walk around Bauer Park.
