Discussion and technical support related to USRP, UHD, RFNoC
View all threadsHi,
I have an NI USRP-2942R that I am accessing through PCIe (for that I have imaged with a LVBITX FPGA bitstream) from one server.
I need to access it through Ethernet from a second server. I kept it connected through PCIe to the 1st one. Unloaded NI driver, turned off the USRP. Plugged the SFP1 adapter along with the Ethernet cable from the second server then turned the NI USRP back on. I am not able to probe it or find it using uhd_find_devices. The USRP replies to ping requests though.
Am I doing something wrong ? Couldn't the USRP be addressed through Ethernet from one server and PCIe from a second one at the same time.
Thanks and Regards,

Simultaneous access is not supported.
You might need to unplug the PCIe cable to get it to fully-recognize the
Ethernet port.
Which ethernet port are you using, and at what speed?

Hi!
No, that's not possible. Only one host can take control of the USRP at once.
Best regards,
Marcus
