From Patrick Dugan:
12/01/14 - Stamford, Shippan Pt -- 1 Female  Harlequin Duck flying
west.  Black Scoter, White-winged Scoter, 17 Northern Pintail, one
possible Pacific Loon out by #32 red bell buoy.

12/01/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park, Willard's Island -- 12:20
PM; a Yellow-breasted Chat seen briefly in dense shrubs along
easternmost trail ~2/3 to end (where trails come together) near where
a few cedars are on E side of path.

12/01/14 - Avon, Fisher Meadows -- at the pond, a Greater
White-fronted Goose and a dark morph "Blue" Snow Goose (among hundreds
of Canada Geese).

12/01/14 - Enfield,  Barnes boat launch -- morning; hen Black Scoter,
hen Red Breasted Merganser and continuing Red-necked Grebe.
Broad Brook, Mill Pond -- afternoon; 2 Greater White-fronted Geese.
Windsor Locks, Canal State Park -- 2 Winter Wren.

12/01/14 - New Britain, Stanley Quarter Park -- 6 NORTHERN SHOVELERS
feeding like phalaropes.  First for this species (as well as Ruddy
Duck) in 20 years of taking classes to this pond.

12/01/14 - Madison, Hammonasset State Park -- 2:00-2:15 PM; end of
moraine trail, in water, then resting on rocks, 2 Common Eider (male
and female, breeding plumage, female a deep red-brown color).
