Harkness Pelican

The pelican at Harkness flew off to the west around 9:45. I posted that update to my earlier message right afterward but it was brought to my attention that I may have only sent it to one person. If so, I apologize. Several birders have been searching points west of Harkness with no luck and I checked Jordan Cove, Pattaganset Marsh/Black Point and Rocky Neck on my way home and didn’t see it. I’m sorry for any inconvenience the mistake may have caused anyone.

Nice find Bob. Perhaps it was a southbound Pelican that had been in Portland , Maine, and then in Hampton, NH.

There was an AM WHITE PELICAN. Found this morning at Jamaica Bay NWR, Queens, NY. I don’t know its age, but it might be the Waterford, CT bird.
