FORECLOSURE OF ABATEMENT LIEN

Hello all!

I work for a City that is wanting to foreclose on Abatement Liens.  I have never attempted this before!  Is this something that can be done and, if so, what is the process?

The infamous man the myth and legend David Widdoes City Atty for Sapulpa has done them and gave a good CLE at OAMA last year I believe. He had forms as well and a white paper. I don’t have it with me but I bet someone can shoot it over to you.

Billy:  I have experience with foreclosing an abatement/demolition lien on a downtown building that collapsed in El Reno when I was City Attorney there.  We filed the Petition in Foreclosure and ultimately accepted a deed in lieu of foreclosure and dismissed the case.  I would be happy to provide documents or to discuss further if you have any questions.
