About the Show: Sissy Hankshaw is born with enormous thumbs that she
uses to best advantage from a young age: she begins a hitchhiking
odyssey across the United States. On her adventures to far-flung places,
she accumulates a collection of renegade women-cowgirls-who only want
their fair share of the myth that is the Wild West. Together they seize
a ladies-only spa and transform it into the most rollicking ranch in
America, where more than the resident cranes are whooping. Tom Robbins'
1979 novel was a favorite of the late-1970s counterculture.

Please note: This performance is for mature audiences only. This
performance includes explicit adult language, outrageous sexual
situations, nudity and racial stereotyping.

Book-It Repertory Theatre is a leading Northwest theatre company that
brings classic and contemporary writing to the stage and converts
literary works into theatre. Performing books instead of plays allows
the Book-It theatre experience to spark the audience's interest in
reading and to challenge the audience to participate by using their
imaginations.
