American Baptist College News June 1, 2023 The next mayor of Nashville will be on the campus of American Baptist College next month for the third in a series of debates hosted in collaboration with The Tennessean, NewsChannel 5, Belmont University, and the League of Women Voters of Nashville. "American Baptist College is a significant place to hold a mayoral forum," said President Forrest E. Harris. "Students at the school in the 1960s fought for the right to vote. Now, here in 2023, a mayoral forum is being held on our campus. Voting is an unalienable right, and every citizen should participate in the electoral process. We are pleased to partner in this endeavor and look forward to an exchange that benefits the city." The debate is scheduled for Thursday, July 6.
