Paul and Sue, You might give USAA a call anyway, even tho you have no military connection. Several years ago they launched a new company (also a USAA company) that markets their insurance products to non-mil customers. Since I am retired military I don't know all that much about it, but a call to their 800 number will tell you one way or another. (800) 531-8111.
