Glass Bottomed Bucket

really as indispensable as they say????

It is our opinion that they are not; on the other hand we have one and when in the Bahamas we use it alot. Indispensable they are not, but they can make the experience more rewarding.

If you want to make one, instead of obtaining one that was commercially made, all it takes is a 5-gallon bucket with its bottom cut out (leaving a 1.5" flange around the bottom), piece of Plexiglas the size of the bottom of the bucket and some silicon.

white the worst. Sunlight will both penetrate a white bucket and bounce off
the white sides, causing reflections off the glass and into the users eyes.
