adding flybridge oil pressure gauges

Another question for the group: I'd like to add a set of oil pressure gauges at the helm on the flybridge. Presently there are gauges at the lower helm but only warning lights up top. The lower gauges are VDO. Can I simply install dual-station VDO senders and connect them to the new gauges up top? I'm planning I to purchase VDO gauges for the flybridge to simplify and coordinate. It seems I also have the option of "American" threads vs. metric threads for the senders - the engines being Volvo TMD-40A's steers me towards metric. Am I on the right track?

Thanks in advance,

Hi Butch,
You are on the right track. As you thought, you will need to change the
senders out to dual station senders, then piggy-back the second gauge to the
first. It all has to be VDO as they don't play well with other brands. VDO
has it's own system.

I always deal with a company in Houston called "Instrument Exchange". They
can answer all your questions, make sure you get the right senders and
gauges, and all at a fair price according to my experience. Their number is
800-945-4243. They will ship to anyone as far as I know.

No connection, blah, blah, blah.............
