I have had scarlet tanager the past two days at my oranges and hummingbird as well as the oriole nectar.  I've never had tanager at feeders before.

My friend ( not a birder) who lives in northern Orange, just called me. She
has had ( what I believe is a Scarlet Tanager by her description), a Red
bird with black wings walking around her front and back lawns most of the
day.
She said it barely flies, maybe a foot off the ground, but goes back onto
her lawn.
I assume it is a recent migrant and perhaps because of the cold and wind,
is exhausted and having difficulty finding food.

I thought that if it's still around tomorrow, I could try to catch it and
give it some insects, berries etc.
But it's supposed to be warmer tomorrow and perhaps finding insects will be
better.
Any suggestions?
