Actually, I'm leaning to the iPhone because I can't find a user that doesn't
love the phone and would buy one again. I'm tied to AT&T with work so I have
the option. To me, not having the option of Active Captain, is one of the more
serious detractors of the iPhone. I'm not against a Windows Mobile Pro option
since I haven't pulled the trigger on the "Buy it Now" iPhone screen; however,
since Jeff has an iPhone in his pocket, perhaps he'll have an "app for that"
in the future or he can convince Apple to support Bluetooth GPS.
Thanks for the replies

I posted earlier that I was using iNax on my iPhone and it cost under $10...
I stand corrected and the app I am using is Navionics app for the iPhone...
Thanks Jeff for correcting me... I did not mean to confuse anyone on the
list... I apologize if I did.... :)

Jeff is already an approved iPhone developer and has even written his
first app (it shows pictures of my dogs). You can bet that there will
be a variety of additional apps for all phones as soon as X is
released and offline ActiveCaptain works on laptops. iPhone apps are
next on the list.
None of this means I have a loss of love for Windows Mobile. If
you're a Verizon customer or only boat in areas where AT&T is weak
(like some areas here on the Chesapeake), you'll be quite unhappy with
the iPhone. If you need good GPS support, Windows Mobile hardware
kills the iPhone's GPS. If you like hard keyboards, the iPhone will
frustrate you. If you want to tether your laptop with one data plan,
the iPhone won't do it without hacking and the problems associated
with that. It might be a good idea to wait and see the update to our
article that outlines all of the current issues with the iPhone.
