Alabama A & M University January 25, 2023 AAMU students went to the Drake LRC Open House on January 25 to tour the Bulldog Makerspace Lab, Digital Studio and future Podcast Studio. AAMU Electronic Resources Librarian William Temmen said the Makerspace Lab has a 3D printer students can use to make everything from engineering models to game tokens. The lab also has a wood milling machine and a sewing machine. Students can use the Digital Studio to create YouTube videos and more, with free access to Final Cut Pro and iMovie. Students can email jaquatta.causey@aamu.edu<mailto:jaquatta.causey@aamu.edu> to make an appointment. The future Podcast Studio also houses a Virtual Reality Station with headsets and games. All of these services are free and open to all students. Tours continued on the 2nd floor of the LRC from 2 pm - 4 p.m. There were drinks and light refreshments, and students who visited each exhibit received a prize.
