Waterproofing old Sunbrella

We took our bimini top off the upper deck Sunday, getting ready for our
haulout.  The top needs to go back to the canvasmaker for some stitching and
chafe repair.  We want to  re-waterproof it before we reinstall it.  What
works, especially long term, in the Florida sun?  I vaguely recall someone
talking about a spray on product we can use that lasts a long time.

Randy, Glen Raven Mills, the manufacturer of Sunbrella recommends a product
(303 Fabric Guard), but I've yet to see it provide much in the way of water
repellancy, for any length of time, on canvas that is quite leaky. If
interested, the spray (comes in liquid brush-on also) is available from just
about any canvas shop or you could try Sailrite.

Otherwise, I'm not knowledgeable of any other products. Good Luck. Rudy
