Trying to setup HP 3048A Phase Noise test system.

I have hardware including 3561A DSA, 11848A Phase Nose Interface, 8662A and 8663A generators, 11729C Noise Test Set.
Wanting  to get software running.  Considering both HP Basic code running on HT Basic Demo version, MS DOS opt 301 s/w and/or PN3048 windows version from John Miles.

Anyone have a 3048A setup running near Dallas/Fort Worth?

Recommendations or lessons learned?

Suggestions of HPIB/GPIB cards and  computer hardware?

Compatability with 8563E, 8664A?

Generally interested in making contact with anyone running these.

Thanks

I opted for buying the HT Basic software.  It works great,
just like you have an HP9836, etc.  I bought the recommended
NI GP-IB dongle.  I've only run the 11848/3561 combo, although
I also have an 11729 and an 8662.  Certain routines like the built
in verification test fail to run even with my setup.  You can
extract data to your PC by using an obscure Time Lab feature.
Otherwise, you can only save the graph (as a graphical object) to your
PC.  I currently have a hardware problem so I have stopped using
the system.  It was useful while it lasted.
